The Barking Lot Policies

All pets MUST be current on vaccinations. In accordance with Florida law, The Barking Lot must have physical proof of vaccinations on hand prior to grooming your pet. The Barking Lot requests that all repeating clients have vaccination record copies from your vet available for me as shots are updated.

All cancellations MUST be made at least 24 hours prior to your scheduled appointment. A $25.00 no show fee will be assessed for those cancellations made with less than 24 hours notice. Cancellations can be left on my voicemail or by talking with me in person. Please do not email cancellations.

In the event of bad weather The Barking Lot may need to reschedule your appointment. I only cancel appointments if the weather is severe enough I feel I may not arrive safely at your home. In the event this happens, I will work with you on a convenient replacement time.

The Barking Lot will perform all grooming procedures on dogs as long as I feel that the dog nor I will get hurt or the dog will not get too stressed from the procedure. Some procedures such as cutting nails and plucking ear hair are too stressful for some of our furry friends and are best left to a veterinarian.

The Barking Lot will not demat an excessively matted dog. Dematting is a stressful procedure for dogs and will only be performed when matting is at a minimum. Severely matted dogs will be shaved down.
